Floating

Ocean waste -- specifically plastic one -- is one of the main environmental problems the world faces today. The Floating Plastics series intends to raise awareness to this problem.

Thus, maintaining an identical line to that of the Plastic subseries, Bordalo collects garbage from the site itself, including marine litter, to then transform it into an element of nature, or a simple recognizable silhouette, and places it temporarily in the water, with a view to obtain a photographic and video reproduction, which will prevent the piece's ephemerality. The created object is then immediately removed from the water.

The ephemerality of the pieces, conditioned by the element Water and the surrounding landscape in which they were inserted, restricts their existence to just one capture. The pieces live only for this purpose, but their registration will be permanent.
